The Readers of Homer is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt, international literary production company that creates all-day or all-night readings
     of The Iliad orThe Odyssey in locations humble and sublime, domestically and abroad. The audience and the readers are the same,
     - anyone who is interested and willing to create, share and endure an extended experience of art and time.
      Our aim is to revivify the tradition of story-telling, to honor the great art of Homer and the cultures that continue to appreciate this seminal humanism.

We are continually looking for new locations and audiences - perhaps in your home town, perhaps in a natural setting that is safe, peaceful, evocative - a place where 200 or so people could gather for a journey into antiquity.

We hope to find individuals in various locations who would be our point of contact in their area. As such a person, you would:

help find a location, indoors or out, that is safe, in some way compelling, and appropriate to the event;

help us secure catering, music, sound equipment, lighting and the other necessities of staging a reading of this duration;

• help us find an audience that extends beyond the faithful academia. We have found that simply posting flyers can help us ‘catch fish’ we otherwise might not have;

• and, ideally, help generate press locally.

We are hoping, reading by reading, to build an extensive base of participants, of readers, nationally and internationally,
